Quantum theory, game theory, information theory, and learning theory describe different aspects of the world. All these theories build on the notion of probability. The meaning of probability, however, remains elusive. Probability can refer to physical systems that produce random outputs, such as dice our roulette wheels. It can also refer to the subjective degree of belief to which some statement is valid. The speakers in the workshop approach probability from different perspectives: objective, subjective, computational, and physical.
After the workshop, you are invited to network over coffee and snacks. Participation is free, but due to limited seating, please register in advance.
