Description
This short talk will focus on the structure and organisation of the Phonetics practice class at the Faculty of English and American Studies of the FSU, comparing the experience of face-to-face, traditional teaching with the online setting that took place during four Covid semesters. Exercises such as flipped classroom activities, creative projects and transcription tasks will be analysed, aiming to show that a combination of digital and in-class teaching could improve some aspects of the learning experience, providing more direct exposure to English phonemes, better communication and more successful acousting processing.
